Tips for reducing daily stress

If there is one thing we all need more of, is more ways to relieve our stress. It seems that as the years go by, we have all collectively become more and more anxious and stressed. It’s not like we can even be blamed, so much has happened in such a short amount of time. We entered a global pandemic in 2020 which we are still suffering in, in 2022.

There is a war going on between Russia and Ukraine. Women in Iran are being persecuted and even killed for choosing not to wear their hijab and women in France are being persecuted for choosing to wear their hijab. The world is a mess, and it has been in a mess, so yes, we are all very very stressed.

There isn’t much many of us can do other than raise awareness in any way we can and show that we are angry about all these problems, but also take care of our mental health. In this blog post, we will list a few ways you can help reduce your stress.

Get active

This one is a difficult one to get into but as soon as you start you will understand how well it works for stress. Any kind of exercise can work as a reliever of stress, you don’t have to do a full-on high intensity work out to get the benefits. You can take a 30-minute walk every day and if you turn that into a habit (to make anything into a habit you must do it for 30 days nonstop) you will surely see an improvement in your mental health and stress. Any type of physical activity you do can activate your endorphins, the neural chemicals that make you feel all the positive feelings.

Laugh!

This is easier said than done, just like the ‘getting active’ tip. If you’re stressed and/or anxious the last thing you might want to do is laugh. But it doesn’t hurt to try, if laughing doesn’t work then try the next tip! If you want to try laughing to ease your stress and/or anxiety then put on a funny movie or video. Ask someone you love to tell you a joke. If none of those ideas work, then force a laugh out. Yes, this can feel embarrassing and possibly even a bit creepy, but try it! Laughing is known to have positive physical results on your body, test it out for yourself.

Try some CBD

Some studies have been done to research the effects CBD has on anxious people and the results showed that the symptoms of anxiety and stress cooled down after the people took CBD. You can try it in an edible, a sublingual, or you can smoke it if you prefer that method. Always make sure to research anything you decide to put into your body, but so far CBD has proven to be safe and useful. Now, you won’t be able to shop bulk CBD anytime soon unless you have a business and are interested in selling CBD products, but if it’s legal in your location you should be able to get it easily in a prescription.
